Panchakarma is the oldest and magical process in Ayurveda comprising of five types of treatments. It is one of the best and most effective ways to relieve one of stress through cleansing the body of the accumulated toxins. The body accumulates toxins because of various factors - disease, poor diet, stress, sleep deficit.
Our body is actually equipped with ability to dispose all the waste (toxins) that gets accumulated in the body.
But when there is havoc created in all the processes of the body, the body fails to combat the toxins and flush them out regularly. The havoc is caused by poor/ harmful diet, absence of any exercise, lifestyle issues. All these result in metabolic disturbances, improper production of digestive enzymes, hormonal imbalances. The “agnis” in the body get disorganised. This in turn leads to accumulation of toxins in the body. Increased level of toxins in the body can cause diseases.
Panchakarma is a process which aids the elimination of the toxins from all parts of the body. It is a thorough cleanse.
These five procedures are recommended to be administered for every healthy person to completely detoxify the body and retard the degeneration.
Each of these procedures is extensive. These are prescribed based on the specific indications and prevention of the disease that is in question.
